Ariel Petrie

Performing Friday May 18th @ 6:00 - 7:00 PM

I’m Ariel Petrie from Heyworth, Illinois. I’ve written over 80 songs. There’s a mix of pop, love ballads, jazz, folk and even Christian worship songs. I definitely wouldn’t limit myself to one particular genre of music. There are a lot of different artists who have inspired my music. To list a few: Adele, Paramore, Maroon 5, The Civil Wars, One Republic, and Switchfoot. For the future I would like to sign with a label that allows me to be me, and hopefully tour with those who inspire me.

Matthew Curry and the Fury

Performing Friday May 18th @ 7:30 - 11:00 PM

"Matthews’ vocals are also tight- he sells the lyrics with his great intonation and fire in his voice. On “Hear The Highway” Curry takes us on another fiery ride, where he tells us the story how he wants to hit the road and bring his blues to the world, and I believe him. This kid is committed to his craft and his roots in the blues sound deep and firm. The guitar here is driving and flaming hot. "

Joe Zaklan

Performing Saturday May 19th @ 12:30 - 3:00 PM

"Joe Zaklan has released his solo debut CD – "There Ain't No Better Time". Joe is a veteran Chicago blues sideman who has finally stepped out front. He has played with Chicago stalwarts such as J.B. Hutto, Studebaker John, Lonnie Brooks and Little Mac Simmons. After moving to Bloomington, Illinois from Chicago, Joe found the opportunity and support he needed. He wanted to start something, and finish it. The end result is a fine collection of both originals and some select covers like the Smokey Robinson penned cut "Get Ready". Joe gives this well known song a nice reggae vibe. For the first time Joe's vocals are featured along with a little harp. Who knew the man could even sing? "Thin Ice" gives us a taste of his harmonica prowess. "Chicken Bone" not only has an amusing name, but also features the saxophone talent of Jim Curless. Overall there is a nice Jeff Healey feel to Joe's sound. The vocals and guitar never over power and there are well placed saxophone" — Joe Skotnicki, The Chicago Examiner
