PRESS RELEASE
The Village of Heyworth has scheduled the following activities at Centennial Park on Route 136 ½ mile west of Heyworth on July 4, 2012:
· 6:00 am – 10:00 am Fishing Derby with no entry fee, first place in each age category for the largest length fish · 8:00 am – Orientation for Mud Volleyball Tournament (contact Adam Mowery cell-309-275-1543 for additional information and application for team) First place team members of the tournament will be awarded a T-shirt. · 10:00 am – Orientation for Sand Volleyball Tournament (contact Karin Miller cell-309-830-8091 for additional information) First place team members of the tournament will be awarded a T-shirt. · 2:00 pm – “Guns and Hoses” 12” Fast Pitch Softball Game Come out and cheer on the Police and Fire Department. There will also be a dunk tank in the afternoon. · 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm “Cattle Bandits” for your listening enjoyment · Dusk – “FIREWORKS” provided by Melrose Pyrotechnics, one of the most fabulous shows in downstate IL · FOOD VENDORS – Pork chops, Italian beef, hot dogs, nachos, pizza, BBQ, chicken tenders, smoothies, strawberry shortcake, snow cones, and lots of other fine food · VENDORS – Miscellaneous vendors with homemade desserts, sunglasses, t-shirts, jewelry, and other novelty items
