Downstate Small Business Stabilization Grant Program

The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) has made available Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) to provide up to $25,000 of 60 days of verifiable working capital expenses to eligible small businesses in Illinois as result of the impacts on small businesses in Illinois due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  DCEO requires all grant applications to be submitted to units of local governments.

Due to DCEO having limited funds for this Program and it being distributed on a first come, first serve basis, the Village requires that Heyworth businesses that want to participate and apply for this Grant turn in their completed applications and all required attachments by April 10th at 4:00 p.m.  Business can submit their completed applications by emailing them to treasurer@heyworth-il.gov or by dropping them off in the drop-box by the front door of Village Hall.  A public hearing, with notice of the hearing published in a local newspaper, must be held prior to the Village Board voting on a resolution approving any eligible applications prior to submittal to DCEO.
