Village Treasurer

Village Treasurer

The office of Village Treasurer is appointed by the Mayor with approval by majority vote of the Village Board of Trustees. The Village Treasurer is generally appointed for the term of the Mayor.

The Village Treasurer's responsibilities include:

receive all monies due or belonging to the Village;
keep suitable books of account of financial transactions of the Village;
keep a separate account with each fund or appropriation;
complete the required annual treasurer reports; and
other such duties and responsibilities as specified in Title 1 Chapter 8 Article C.

Village Treasurer Sue Gilpin

Sue Gilpin has been the appointed Village Treasurer since October 2018. Her Deputy Treasurers are Stacy Shoemaker and Diana Slayback. The Village Treasurer can be contacted by e-mail at treasurer@heyworth-il.gov.
